Read MoreAnnapurna area is located east of a great gorge cut through the Himalaya by the Kali Gandaki river. The mountain has glaciers on its western and northwestern slopes which drain into this gorge. In Annapurna Trekking, Visit Ghandrung, a large and typical Gurung village. This is the home of many of the Gurkha soldiers, famous for their brave exploits in World War and more recently, the Falk and War. There are natural hot springs in this area, a welcome place to relax for the weary trekkers. Another favorite destination is Muktinath, a holy pilgrimage for both Hindus and Buddhists.
