Itinerary Detail

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu(1300m/4428ft)
Arrival in the Kathmandu airport (TIA) you will be welcomed by a representative from Adventure Mission Nepal (AMN). After check in, you may take a rest, hang around in the city, or visit our office depending on your interest. We will organize a Welcome Dinner at an excellent traditional Nepalese Restaurant where we will enjoy a Nepalese cultural program as well as a fine meal. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing (Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Swoyambhu, Bouddhanath)
We start a guided tour to four of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu. Kathmandu Durbar Square holds the palaces of the medieval Kings who ruled over the then Kathmandu Kingdom. Pashupatinath houses a sacred lingum, or the phallic symbol of Lord Shiva.. The Buddhists shrine of Boudhanath is one of the largest stupas in the world, and one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimage. Swayambhu meaning the "the self-existent" is popular among the foreigners as the Monkey Temple owing to the large number of monkey population residing in the area. Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 03: Mountain Flight & Sightseeing Tour: Patan, Khokana, Bungmati
We take an hour's mountain flight in the morning which takes over the Himalayas within range of the highest peaks in the world. After the mountain flight, we start a guided tour of some heritage sites near Kathmandu. Patan is one of the ancient settlements in the Kathmandu Valley, patan is famous for its ancient collection and palace with arts and many architectures. Khokana lies about 8 Kilometers south from Kathmandu, and is famous for the vernacular village and its mustard-oil seed industrial heritage. Bungmati, lying 10 kilometers south from Kathmandu, appears somewhat sleepy even this day, with people drying red chilies and garlic's from the medieval house windows. Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 04: Thimi, Bhaktapur, Changu Narayan, Nagarkot
Thimi, about 10 km east from Kathmandu, is famous for earthen wares, masks, puppets, hand woven clothes and other handicrafts. The place is also well-known of sweet beaten rice grown on its tradition of field. The town Bhaktapur, along with the Durbar Square preserves medieval arts, architecture, culture, and lifestyle to this date. Changu Narayan, the oldest temple in the Kathmandu valley, boasts of being the oldest pagoda of Nepal. The route to Changu Narayan passes through small villages and farmlands with farmers work their fields. Then we head toward Nagarkot lying 32 kilometers east of Kathmandu at an altitude of 2,175m (7,136ft) above sea level. We stay overnight at Nagarkot to enjoy the magnificent sunrise and sunset views over the major peaks of eastern Nepal Himalayas including Mt Everest. Overnight at Nagarkot.

Day 05: Drive to Daman
Drive to Daman, 80 kilometers south from Kathmandu and about three hours drive deep into the mountains through sparse settlements and Rhododendrons forest. Daman is a popular resort town at an altitude of about 2400 meters above sea level and known for the wide range of Himalayan views seen from there including Mount Everest, Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, Gauri Shankar, and Cho Oyo. The view tower at Daman offers the views of an amazingly large section of the Himalayan range stretching from Mt. Everst in the East to Mt. Dhaulagiri in the West. Enjoy hiking around the villages that offers an opportunity to connect with the local life. Overnight at Daman resort. 

Day 06: Drive to Bandipur
Bandipur is located at an elevation of 1030m on a mountain saddle about 145 km to the west of Kathmandu on the way to Pokhara. An 8 km access road links Bandipur with Dumre on the Kathmandu-Pokhara highway. Especially the panoramic view of the Annapurna is great from the hill location. The town is famous for the Newari item and style and also for the wooden carved arts and architectures. There is also a famous cave called Siddha Cave. Overnight at Bandipur. 

Day 07: Drive to Pokhara & Sightseeing
Drive to Pokhara. Pokhara is a city of lake or known as Lake City the most beautiful place on the earth. The town offers magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhare, five peaks of Annapurna and others. Pokhara lakes are famous for boating, fishing etc.. Pokhara is also the gateway for trekking in the Annapurna Region. After arriving Pokhara, we make a sightseeing trip to some of Pokhara's marketplaces, old bazaars, and landmarks. Overnight at Pokhara

Day 08: Full Day Pokhara Sightseeing with Sarankot Sunrise
Early morning we drive to the Sarankot Hill to have the sunrise views over the Himalayas. After we make a full day sightseeing of Pokhara. We also take a boat around the Phewa Lake which is the second biggest lake of Nepal. We take the boat across the lake and take an hour's walk to the World Peace Pagoda. We make visit to the Gupteshwar Gufa Cave and other places include the Seti River Gorge, Devi's fall and the mountain museum etc. Overnight at Pokhara. 

Day 09: Drive to Tansen & Lumbini
Drive to Tansen, 125 kilometers from Pokhara. Tansena is a hill town with beautiful green hills offering the views of snow covered Himalayan peaks like Dhaulagiri Manaslu. we will continue our journey to Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, about 75 kilometers from Tansen. Overnight at Lumbini.

Day 10: Full Day Lumbini Sightseeing
Lumbini is one of world's major religious, architectural, and historical places. This place is really a big area with monuments, temples, and ancients sites making it a UNESCO World Heritage Site. First we visit the Mayadevi temple which is built on the exact place where Buddha was born. Some of the important landmarks and monuments in Lumbini include: Ashoka's Pillar erected by Emperor Ashoka (249 BC) on the spot of Buddha's birth which also has the oldest inscription in Nepal. There are many Buddhist Temples founded by the devotees from different countries: Tibetan, Chinese, Japanese and Burmese, Korean, etc. Overnight at Lumbini.

Day 11: Drive to Chitwan National Park
Drive to Chitwan, about 180 kilometers from Lumbini and a 5 hour's drive. After checking in to the hotel and get refreshed you will be briefed about full nature programs by our nature guide. Then we head on for activities. There will be a guided village walk and a walk on the banks of the Rapti River to watch the charming sunset views in the sub-tropical jungle. In the evening, dinner with cultural program by ethnic tribal people with their stick dance and tribal drums. Overnight at Chitwan.

Day 12: Full Day at Chitwan National Park including Jungle Safari
The Chitwan National Park has been declared by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Today you will discover why the National Park holds an important place in preserving the wild lives that are rapidly getting extinct from this planet. The Park is also home to rhinoceros, tigers, leopards, sloth bears, wild bison, dolphin, 500 birds, butterflies, as well as the near extinct Gharials crocodiles. We can do a number of activities here - an elephant safari, a nature walk, bird watching, a jungle drive or a canoe trip. You may even take a bath with an elephant and learn how to wash elephant. Overnight at Chitwan.

Day 13: Drive to Kathmandu
Drive back to Kathmandu on the same route with the scenic beautiful view of mountains. On arrival transfer to hotel and on leisure you may do some shopping or explore around city. Overnight at Kathmandu

Day 14: Departure
Approximately 3 hours before representative of AMN will transfer you to airport for flight of departure to your next destination
