Itinerary Detail

Day 01 Arrival and Transferred to the Hotel (1300m/4,264ft)
Arrival in the Kathmandu airport (KTM) you will be greeted by a representative from Adventure Mission Nepal (AMN) Treks and transfer to hotel. After completing your custom formalities (Visa, etc). In the evening we will organize a "Welcome Dinner" at an excellent traditional Nepalese Restaurant with a fine meal and cultural show. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 02 Kathmandu, sightseeing
We start a guided tour to several of the most historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu. World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambhu Nath) and Buddhists shrine (Boudha Nath). In the afternoon, there will be a pre-trip discussion about the trek equipment and we can meet the trek leader as well. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 03 Rafting at Bhote-Kosi, 1st day
We get to our rafting point resort the Borderlands resort about 210 Km from Kathmandu and about 4 hrs ' drive to the Nepal-Tibet Border. The rafting will take place in the Bhotekoshi River, one of world's highest rivers. The drive passes through mountain villages, rivers, jungles, waterfalls, and high passes. Spectacular views of high Himalayan mountains including Ganesh Himal, Langtang, etc After arriving at the rafting point, check into the Borderland resort. There will be some briefing about the rafting adventure by the rafting guides. The rafting is mostly of class 2 to class 4.

Day 04 Rafting at Bhote-Kosi, 2nd day
We will get a little more adventurous with white water rafting. Also acquaint with Canyoning - which involves abseiling, sliding, jumping, climbing and swimming. The people at the Borderlands are quite experienced with extensive knowledge and expertise on various aspects of water sports. Experience the thrills of passing through the sheer cliffs and slides to pounding waterfalls. Feel the sensation of the adrenalin buzz that shoots up in your bloodstream while leaping off rapids and sliding down glass-smooth rocks. Another aspect of water sports in the Bhotekoshi is the opportunity to enjoy forest and river areas which is not possible in any other way. In the evening we head toward Kathmandu. Transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 05 Transfer from Kathmandu to Dhunche (1950m/6396 ft)
We drive to Dhunche, the trek starting point. The road passes along mountain ridge with sheer cliffs extending above and below. Small rivers flow from the cliff above and across the road. Boulders balance precariously above us; the road is built out over a sheer drop off below. Marvel at the scenery and courageous for braving the drive to Dhunche. Dhunche is a small picturesque village perched between rice and wheat fields along the Trisuli River. We stay o/n at hotel.

Day 06 Trekking to Singh Gompa(3584m/10,675ft, 6-7 hours)
We hike up through the steep mountain trails. Cross the Trishuli River. Initially, the trail follows the north side of the river. Then we start to climb on a steep ridge. The trail passes through the forests of fir and rhododendron, ascending steeply. Another climb to Dimsa. Arrive at Singh Gompa, a Buddhist monastery, monks are not seen at Singh Gompa. There is a cheese factory at Singh Gompa. O/n at hotel.

Day 07 Trekking to Gosaikund lakes (4,380m/14,366ft, 6-7 hours)
Trek for about 3 hours to Lauribina Yak. Follow a rugged trail with dramatic views of Himal Chuli (7893m) Manaslu (8156m,) and Ganesh Himal (7406m). We climb higher through oaks, pines and rhododendron. Leaving the tree line behind, climb higher into a landscape of juniper and alpine shrubs. It takes another 3 hours walk from Lauribina Yak to Gosaikunda. Enjoy the views of snow peaks including the Manaslu and Annapurna ranges. Discover more than 10 Himalayan Lakes in the Gosaikunda area including Saraswati and Bhiarav kund lakes. The region is also a famous pilgrimage both for the Hindus & the Buddhists.

Day 08 Trekking to Ghopte (3440m/11,283ft, 6-7 hours) via Lauberina La pass (4610m/15,120ft)
Climb through the rugged landscapes enjoying the views of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, and Langtang Lirung among other. We get closer to another lake, the Surya Kund. Cross the Lauribina La(4610 m) pass, which is the highest point on the trek. After crossing the Lauribina La pass, descend down the trail through stone path and forest. Walking a few more uphill and downhill trails through junipers and rhododendrons, we head down to Phedi a small settlement by a gushing waterfall, then on to Ghopte, just over the ridge. Ghopte is a name in Nepali which means an overhanging cliff, a perfect name for the place. o/n at hotel.

Day 09 Trekking to Kutumsang (2621m/8,596ft, 4-5 hours)
Climb higher through the alpine forest. Down upon the hill zone and the rhododendrons - we continue along the forest path climbing over boulders and tree roots. We arrive at Tharepati, an interesting place on a high ridge. From Tharepati, we descend down again through fir and rhododendron forests on more level trails and with occasional surprise views of the snowy Langtang Himalayas. Enjoy the splendid views of the Mount Dorje Lakpa. On the way to Kutumsang which lies in the saddle of two hills. Overnight at lodge.

Day 10 Trekking to Chisapani (2194m/7,196ft, 5-6 hours)
We pass the hill top through temperate forests and involves going further downhill through increasing forests. Descend to Gul Bhanjyang. Gul Bhanjyang is a bustling little hill village. The trail becomes wider. Pass Chipling and then descend down further through villages and terraced hill sides. Climb to Thodang Betini. Descend again down to Pati Bhanjyang (1860m) with terraced hillside. Climbing again a little higher, we finally arrive at Chisapani. Chisapani Village, which means cold water, is the gateway from Langtang and Helambu region trekking. From Chisapani, enjoy the great views of the entire Kathmandu valley.

Day 11 Trekking to Sundarijal (5-6 hours), transfer to Kathmandu (1300m/4,264ft)
Trek past the lush oak and rhododendron forests. Arrive at the pass of Borlang Bhanjyang (2440m). From the Borlang Bhanjyang, we descend down a stone path through forests and villages. A continuous descent brings us to Mulkharka. From Mulkharka an easy descent along the water pipeline brings us to Sundarijal. Our trek ends at Sundarijal. From there, an hour's drive takes us back to Kathmandu.

Day 12 Transfer from Kathmandu to Chitwan (185km, 5 hours)
We drive to Chitwan, 185 kilometers from Kathmandu and a 5 hour's drive into the mountains. All the way we descend down along the winding road on the banks of the Trishuli River. After checking in to the hotel and getting refreshed you will be briefed about full nature programs by our nature guide. Then we head on for activities. There will be a guided village walk and a walk on the banks of the Rapti River to watch the charming sunset views in the sub-tropical jungle. We also visit the elephant breeding center where, if lucky, you may see mother elephant breast feeding its baby. In the evening dinner with cultural program by ethnic tribal people with their stick dancing and tribal drums. Overnight at Chitwan.

Day 13 Full day of Jungle Safari at Chitwan National Park
The Chitwan National Park has been declared by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. We will discover why the National Park holds an important place in preserving the wild lives that are rapidly getting extinct from this planet. You're almost sure to spot water buffalo, egrets, woodpecker, and deer in their natural habitat. The Park is also home to rhinoceros, tigers, leopards, sloth bears, wild bison, gangetic dolphin, 500 birds, butterflies, as well as the near extinct Gharials crocodiles. Activities perform here are - an elephant safari, a nature walk, bird watching, a jungle drive or a canoe trip. You may even take a bath with an elephant and learn how to wash your elephant videos for the memories could be taken. Overnight at Chitwan.

Day 14 Transfer to Lumbini (190km, 4 hours), sightseeing of Lumbini
After enjoying bird watching or jungle safari in the morning today, we drive to Lumbini - another World Heritage Site about 190 kilometers from Chitwan and a 4 hour's drive further south-west. Lumbini is not only the most important Buddhist pilgrimage site - the place where Buddha was born - but it's also an important architectural and historical site of the world civilization. Reaching Lumbini, we explore some of the major landmarks and monuments in Lumbini such as: Mayadevi Temple - the exact site where Buddha was born, Asoka's Pillar, erected by Emperor Asoka (249 BC), and various other temples & monasteries founded by the devotees from different countries: Tibetan, Chinese, Japanese and Burmese, Korean, etc. o/n at hotel.

Day 15 Transfer to Kathmandu (300km, 7 hours)
spend the leisure time on recreation or shopping onward your interest or short sight seeing around the city or thamel area.saty overnight at hotel.

Day 16 Departure
Approximately 3 hrs before a representative from (AMN) will transfer you to airport for the flight to your onwards destination.
